WMF 2019 – panel discussion report New World Order – How to produce content for the digital age

In the overwhelming Business Weekend Hall at the 11th edition of the Weekend Media Festival on how to create content for digital channels, talked and discussed the editors of leading regional media: Jasmina Koprivica, Antena Grupa Srbija, Director of B92.net and Digital Department (Serbia), Daniel Delale, Hanza Media, editor-in-chief of the portal www.100posto.hr (Croatia), Filip Raunić, Net.hr, editor-in-chief (Croatia) and Saša Stajić, Adria Media Group, principal and responsible editor of portal espreso.rs (Serbia). A thrilling panel discussion aimed at marketers was moderated by Vlado Lucić from NewsBar.

Why are print media launching their own online portals? How did they adjust the contents of the newspaper to digital format? Why are still clickbinding titles still used? Are Facebook alive for algorithms that reduce traffic to portals? How are the strategies adapted to this? How does the process of creating content for digital channels today look like? What is the future of online media and what kind of digital advertising? These are just some of the questions the panelists answered, of course, each from their own editorial perspective.

Digital media has changed the way journalists create content. The panelists agreed that the speed of publication of the content is equally important and the quality of the published texts as well as the profiling of the individual media in the targeted population. Whether it’s news or ads, if the article reader does not get the information they expect – they simply stop reading a particular portal.

Panel participants touched on the theme of native nets, specifically the Midas network, which predicts a bright future. The leading regional portal editors believe that native networks provide customers with an ideal channel of product/service promotion and deliver quality content to the media. We will quote Saša Stajić who said: „Thank you for the Midas!“ And add – thanks to them and to the editors of the other 200 sites in the region who work with us!

Two days of good fun in Rovinj in front of us! Enjoy the sun, the sea and the great lectures and panel discussions that are ahead of us.
